OVERVIEW

This is a full-time position on the Davenport Asset Management Marketing team. The Marketing Associate will report to the Marketing Manager and work with the Marketing and Graphic Design Associate to support marketing and sales efforts for Davenport Asset Management products to both our internal network of financial advisors and external institutional sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in preparing a wide variety of marketing and client presentation materials, specifically proprietary strategy books, fact sheets, social media content, email campaigns, video content, and other supplemental materials
  • Submit new and updated marketing pieces to our Compliance portal, work closely with the Compliance department to ensure industry regulations are being followed with regard to proper formats, disclosures, and procedures for reporting performance information and securities marketing for all of our client-facing marketing materials
  • Help maintain internal and external websites
  • Work closely with financial advisors and the institutional sales team in support of their marketing needs
  • Ability to understand and follow brand guidelines in the production of marketing materials
  • Adhere to timely schedule for month-end, quarter-end and annual updates to recurring marketing materials
  • Other projects and tasks as necessary in support of Sales & Marketing efforts

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College Degree in finance, marketing/communications or related field
  • Recent grad or 1-2 years’ experience preferred
  • A strong desire to pursue a career in the financial services industry
  • Strong attention to detail: must be analytical, comfortable navigating numbers and financial figures
  • Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite to include InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro
  • Experience or aptitude for basic video editing/recording technology and file types is a plus
  • Experience in WordPress is a plus
  • Knowledge of social media and email marketing basics is a plus
  • Able to work efficiently to meet deadlines, both independently and on a team
  • Able to multi-task and work on several team projects simultaneously
  • Able to understand, adhere to, and stay current with industry rules and regulations
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofing skills
  • An outgoing and energetic go-getter, professional demeanor
  • Ability to focus and thrive in a hybrid work environment of at-home and in-office days
