Richmond, VA - The Virginia Commonwealth University Brandcenter is proud to announce its Executive Series for Creative Directors held June 9-13. The program is an intense 5-day workshop covering all the major skills that go into leading a strong creative department. This includes evaluating and recruiting talent, selling good ideas, responsible budgeting, understanding the client mindset, becoming a strong member of the agency management team, planning your career and other subjects. This program will benefit Creative Directors working in ad agencies, interactive shops, design firms, in-house agencies, and anyone else managing the creative process.
Guest Speakers include John Butler and Greg Stern from Butler, Shine, Stern & Partners, Ted Royer, Executive Creative Director of Droga5, and Robert Wong, Executive Creative Director of Google Creative Labs.
"We sent two creative directors last year," said Mike Hughes, President and Creative Director of The Martin Agency. "They came back not just fired up - but smarter and more thoughtful about the business. We'll definitely send two more this year."
The VCU Brandcenter (formerly the Adcenter) is a two-year graduate program in Advertising and Branding. The Brandcenter was named #1 ad school by Creativity magazine, one of the top global business/design schools by Creativity, and the #1 digital media and marketing program by ad age.
