Creative Director Ken Hohman and his company Sure-Fire Copy, Ltd. have been named a National Finalist in the Silver Microphone Awards for the year 2005. The competition selects the best local and regional radio commercials, audio programs and web sites from more than 40,000 advertising agencies, production studios and radio stations nationwide.

The radio campaign “Farmer’s Market Almanac” was created by Hohman for the 17th Street Farmer’s Market in Shockoe Bottom and was named National Finalist Runner-Up in the Best Copywriting category. Another radio spot for the 17th Street Farmer’s Market entitled “After The Flood” won National Finalist honors in the Entertainment category. All winning radio spots were produced at Rainmaker Studios in Shockoe Bottom.

Sure-Fire Copy, Ltd. — soon to become Pow! Communications — is a creative idea factory for clients that include Food Lion, Harrah’s Casinos, the Baltimore Orioles, Capital One and Gator Tuf Industrial Products.
