Barber Martin's Virginia Tax Amnesty Campaign Wins a Direct Marketing Association ECHO Award
Richmond, Va. - Barber Martin Advertising's (BMA) Virginia Department of Taxation's Tax Amnesty Campaign has
won yet another award. This time the campaign was recognized by the Direct Marketing Association (DMA) at its
annual international conference. During DMA's 75th Annual International ECHO Awards ceremony in New Orleans,
the Tax Amnesty campaign won a Silver ECHO award in the Not-for-Profit category. "This was a highly effective
campaign that delivered results that exceeded the client's expectations," said Don Morgan, president and chief
operating officer at BMA. "I believe the strategies that BMA developed helped to make this campaign such a success.
It's an honor to be recognized for developing solid work that delivers results." The DMA International ECHO Awards
recognize the total campaign package: brilliant strategy, breakthrough creative and phenomenal results. All three
are important in the real world, so all three are considered by DMA. ECHO is the only award in the direct marketing
industry that considers results in the judging.
This is the third national award that the Virginia Tax Amnesty Campaign has been honored with this year. Other
awards include two Gold Quill Awards and one merit award given at the 2004 International Association of Business
Communicators' (IABC) conference and three Telly Awards, which honors outstanding local, regional and cable
television commercials.
