New Additions and Promotions
[Richmond, VA] SB&A, celebrating 25 years in business, is excited to welcome the following new members to its team.
Beth Simos, Director of Operations
Beth Simos was recently promoted to Director of Operations and is a member of the agencys executive team. She is now responsible for overseeing SB&As internal communications and operations. Beth has been a member of the SB&A team for almost a year as a Senior Account Manager. As former Director of Marketing and Communications for the Virginia Health Quality Center and the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce, as well as Director of Marketing and Public Relations with Columbia/HCACJW, Beth offers expertise in a wide variety of disciplines, including advertising, branding, communications, direct marketing, strategic market planning, public relations and operations. In addition to her more than 16 years of experience in both agency and client corporate environments, Beth is a Certified Direct Marketer and holds both a BBA and an AAS from Marshall University.
Debra Johnson, Historian/Director of Archives
Deb Johnson has been a member of the SB&A team since 1986, having completed both Business and Nursing courses prior to joining the Agency. Originally hired as the Delivery/Administrative Assistant, as SB&A has grown Deb has provided assistance to coworkers, to the President/CEO and to the Agencys CFO, in addition to gaining production and technical skills through her work with the Production Manager. Most recently Deb has been promoted to Agency Historian/Director of Archives.
Sarah Helen Shea, Principal Account Assistant
Sarah Helen Shea joined SB&A as Principal Account Assistant to President & CEO Sharon Brooks. Sarah Helen has a strong professional and educational background in marketing/marketing research and strategic communications. Sarah Helen graduated from Mary Baldwin College where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing Communications. She brings to SB&A relevant professional experience in areas including events planning and referral marketing plan development.
Martha Gray, Account Assistant
Martha joined SB&A as an account management intern, and now works as an account assistant. Martha is a recent graduate of the University of Virginia, where she majored in history and economics. She gained experience in marketing by interning in the membership department of the Alumni Association.
Anita Mingo, Officers Assistant/Special Projects
Anita Mingo joined the Agency in the newly created position of Officers Assistant/Special Projects. In her role she will provide support for new business development efforts and special projects. A Virginia Commonwealth University graduate with a BS in Mass Communications-Advertising, Anitas concentration was in Account Management and Strategy Development with a minor in General Business. While completing her undergraduate studies, Anita garnered administrative, planning and promotional skills working in Events Services and Conference Services positions.
Jessica Miller, Receptionist
Jessica Miller joined SB&A as receptionist. Jessy brings to the Agency a strong background in customer service from several years' work with the Ukrop's organization. Jessy has a Liberal Arts degree from J. Sargeant Reynolds and a great love for literature and historical fiction. She is hoping to return to school in the future and earn her masters in education.
