| Richmond,
VA (March 15, 2007) - Wythken Printing is proud to announce
the arrival of their new baby; a new, state-of-the-art Presstek 34DI
(four-color printing press). This baby arrived March 19th and
will weigh in at a whopping 10,000 lbs. 8 oz.
and she’s 53” long. Not only is she
big, but she’s a rare baby; the only press of its kind in Richmond
and one of only a handful available on the East Coast.
The Presstek 34DI represents the latest and greatest in
digital print capabilities. This incredible new press
allows Wythken customers to save time and money. Its all-digital
workflow exceeds the versatility and quality of a conventional
four-color offset press. With waterless formula printing
at an unbelievable 300 lines per inch, this baby allows you
to effortlessly print on a wide range of papers. Colors on
the Presstek 34DI are richer and more consistent than those
of its older siblings and its high-speed infrared dryer allows
projects to be delivered faster.
“Chuck and I are proud new Papas,” says Ric
Withers, co-owner of Wythken. “Knowing the capabilities
of this new baby and what we’re now able to do for
our customers, we’re all cooing with excitement.”
“We’re growing and this gives us more capability,
but it is also a distinct competitive advantage over larger,
more expensive commercial printers,” says Wythken
partner Charles D. “Chuck” Aiken. “This
baby is awesome.”
