Brand Engagement Manager

MWV is looking to expand its Brand Engagement Team with a creative brand and consumer focused strategist with a strong background in advertising, brand development, marketing and/or design. Primary responsibilities will be to convert consumer, brand and market insight into clear, focused strategic direction that will guide the creative development of packaging concepts for our highest value customers.

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT MWV

As the Manager, Brand Engagement, you will provide thought leadership, inspiration and ideas to drive brand value for our customers’ via packaging; research marketplace trends, conduct consumer and brand analysis to assist in creating project packaging strategy and provide overarching design direction for our packaging innovation process. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead, drive, and support a project’s strategic creative vision, development and execution including client presentations
  • Interface with internal teams, including market insights, research and development and account management
  • Prepare presentations and present to customers

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Successful candidates will be energetic, positive and dynamic critical thinkers. This position requires high levels of flexibility, multi-tasking and ingenuity.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design or related field is required
  • Minimum of 5 years marketing experience, with a particular focus on consumer brands within an agency, design studio or similar client marketing environment
  • Experience with customer-facing engagements and presentations
  • Strong strategic, management and implementation experience interfacing with a design group
  • Requires a deep understanding of brand strategy and visual design
  • Skilled in developing and delivering compelling client presentations
  • Exceptional strategic, communications, presentation, interpersonal and team-oriented skills
  • Experience with consumer research methods and analyzing resulting data
  • Consumer packaging experience is a plus

Senior Account Executive

The King Agency in Richmond has an opening for an experienced Sr. Account Executive to manage local and national client accounts. Candidate must have at least 5 years account service experience with an agency or marketing firm and experience in both B2B and retail categories. Must posses in-depth knowledge/experience with media. This position requires candidate to be very detail-oriented, have a proven track record of relationship building, understand advertising and branding principles. They must also have the creativity to develop advertising programs that exceed client expectations and be excellent with communications and presentation.

Senior Art Director

Position Summary:

Delivers world-class design and leads other creative resources to deliver a quality end product for West Cary Group

Role Qualifications:

  • Focuses on the visual development of the product, and works closely with the Creative Director, Chief Creative Officer and Account Service team to ensure the quality and integrity of the product meets or exceeds product vision, and pushes the boundaries of competitive visual execution
  • Supports team’s goal of delivering world-class creative products

    Position Responsibilities:

  • Inspires, leads, and drives the visualization process, from collaborative conceptualization through final product
  • Creates design that translates across platforms and print/digital formats
  • Manages team of art directors and designers (contract and FTE, depending on need)
  • Establishes and maintains VERY aggressive deadlines for meeting demands for multiple client projects
  • Troubleshoots and devises solutions with both the internal art team as well as external clients
  • Other duties as assigned

EssentialSkills and Experience:

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in art direction/design
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign,Photoshop, and Illustrator)
  • Interactive art direction is a huge plus (Website design, Mobile app/site design, etc)
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, with strong visual design skills; layout, typography and high graphic standards
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Strong understanding of socialmedia and web technology
  • Previous ad agency experience is a must
  • Previous experience in all print media desired
  • Previous corporate experience is a plus
  • Previous personnel management experience is a plus

Delivers great digital design and leads other digitally-centered creative resources to deliver a quality end product for West Cary Group

Role Qualifications:

  • Focuses on the visual development of the product, and works closely with the Producers, Account Service team, and Chief Creative Officer to ensure the quality and integrity of the digital product meets or exceeds vision, and pushes the boundaries of competitive visual execution
  • Supports team’s goal of delivering world-class creative products

Position Responsibilities:

  • Inspires, leads, and drives the visualization process, from collaborative conceptualization through final product
  • Creates design that translates across platforms and digital formats supplemented by a deep technical understanding of front-end web development.
  • Collaborates closely with back-end developer(s) to develop a comprehensive and solid web presence for our clients.
  • Manages team of designers and copywriters
  • Establishes and maintains VERY aggressive deadlines for meeting demands for multiple client projects
  • Troubleshoots and devises solutions with both the WCG digital team as well as external clients
  • In some instances, maintain content management-related work for some larger clients
  • Other duties as assigned

EssentialSkills and Experience:

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in interactive art direction/design
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator primarily)
  • Solid HTML coding experience and the ability to transform Photoshop files into HTML pages.
  • Experience in dynamic, motion-related executions (Flash, jQuery, etc.)
  • Healthy portfolio displaying website design and Mobile app/site design
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, with strong visual design skills; layout, typography and high graphic standards
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • Strong understanding of social media and web technology
